5 Minute Journal Family Mindfulness New Year Traditions No Complaint Challenge Recipes Thursday's Three

Welcome to "Thursday's Three"! In these posts, we will give you three things that we are loving this week.  We’ll include things we are reading, using, laughing about, and more! So, Momma, take a few minutes for yourself and ENJOY!

1. I am READING/LISTENING to lifehacker,Tim Ferriss’ super inspiring podcast, “The Magic of Mindfulness: Complain Less, Appreciate More, and Live a Better Life. It’s only 30 minutes long and you can skip the first and last 5 minutes when he just chit-chats. So, in just 20 minutes (I listened while enjoying a nice long shower), you can be inspired with a handful of ways to lead a better life. I am looking forward to using the Five Minute Journal and gratefulness prompts. After 3 days of attempting the 21-Day No Complaint Challenge, I am currently starting over at day 1. Let us know which you choose to implement!  (Heads-Up: Tim drops the F-bomb 3-4 times so just be aware if you’re listening with kids.)

2. I am LOVING the most AMAZINGLY delicious white, bean, kale, and sausage soup from FiveheartHome. Even if your initial reaction is to squish your nose and sigh, “Eww...kale...”, I promise that this dish will NOT disappoint. Make sure to follow Samantha's recommendation on shredding the kale and pureeing the beans in a food processor.
3. I am USING the wonderful ideas that Mary Agnes suggest in our “5 Family Traditions to Start Your New Year” post. We are going to work on our time capsules this weekend. Last night, I needed a box of tissues as we watched a few of our family videos from the year. My favorite was when SG welcomed Baby Sissy home. Be still my heart...
